What is onboard The Georgie Bee?
On arrival The Georgie Bee will have been fully serviced and cleaned ready for your holiday.
Below is a list of items onboard to make you feel at home and make your holiday as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Hopefully this will help you to know what things you might want to pack for your holiday.
Here are a few suggestions for things to pack:
- All your food and drink although you may want to have some meals at some of the canal side pubs and restaurants along the route.
- Clothing to include waterproofs, hats, gloves and sunglasses.
- Sensible footwear e.g. walking boots or non-slip trainers and slippers for when you’re relaxing indoors.
- Toiletries including suncream and insect repellent.
- Any medication you or your party take.
- Camera and binoculars.
It is advisable to use soft luggage such as holdalls where possible as there is not a lot of storage space for suitcases.
In the living area there is an L shaped sofa which converts to a double bed. Underneath the sofa is the bedding for this bed.
There is a remote controlled LCD TV which is mounted on the wall.
There is a table stored in the gunwale by the TV. The legs are stored by the kitchen area. It is very easy to assemble.
We have an oil filled radiator.
Free Wi-Fi is available onboard for the duration of your holiday.

Linen and Extras
All bed linen will be provided including mattress protectors, pillow protectors, sheets, pillows, duvets and duvet covers. We will also provide one bath towel and one hand towel per person.
In terms of storage there are drawers underneath the main double bed.
There is a set of drawers for storing clothes at the stern along with some cupboards and shelves.

Please note that during your holiday you cannot stay in the Marina. You will cruise the Trent and Mersey canal network. Mercia Marina is just your start and end point. For the duration of your holiday you can leave your car parked safely at the Marina.
